ScreenCloud OS launches for digital signage

ScreenCloud, a digital signage firm, announced the launch of its proprietary ScreenCloud OS, a Linux-based digital signage operating system, according to a press release.

The system is geared towards employee communications and engagement, with a focus on deskless workspaces in sectors like manufacturing and logistics, and the release is designed to facilitate large-scale operations. Using a plug-and-play Station P1 Pro media player, ScreenCloud OS features cloud CMS capabilities. Designed with speed and ease of deployment in mind, the system includes remote device management along with networking and security features.

"We engineered ScreenCloud OS with the needs of IT in mind," Mark McDermott, co-founder and CEO at ScreenCloud, said in the release. "IT departments are often the ones assigned to launch and manage these systems, and it can be an incredibly taxing endeavor — especially for large enterprises with hundreds or even thousands of devices across each of their locations.
