Scala partners with Exterity to integrate IPTV with digital signage networks

Scala announced today that Exterity, a specialist in building IPTV (Internet protocol television), has joined Scala's Technology Partner Program.
This partnership will enable Exterity's customers to integrate their existing IPTV video delivery with Scala's digital signage software.
"Exterity is proud to partner with Scala and provide our customers with a tool to improve operational efficiencies and total return on investment," said Mike Allen, chief technical officer of Exterity.
From an operational standpoint, the ability to integrate and schedule Exterity feeds with Scala Content Manager extends the value of digital networks, according to Scala.
"Integrated digital media management presents a large opportunity for the corporate industry to communicate with guests and staff members," Scala CEO Gerard Bucas said.
Attendees at IBC 2010 will have the opportunity to be the first to see Exterity and Scala in action together at Exterity's booth (IP721). IBC 2010 takes place Sept. 10-14 at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre, the Netherlands
