Scala, a digital signage provider, has launched a range of commercial-grade Linq all-in-one tablets in Japan, compliant with local technical certifications and requirements, according to a company press release.

Scala, part of the Stratacache family of marketing technology companies, provides tools to create, manage and deploy digital experiences in retail, transportation, corporate office/factory, QSRs, banking, hospital and healthcare.

The tablets are integrated across all digital signage, interactive experience, and mobile commerce/mobile shopping platforms in Scala, X2O Media and Real Digital Media. The tablets come in sizes ranging from 11.6 inches to 55 inches to suit business needs.

The tablets feature either a Linux or Android operating system, and are equipped with a content playback function. They are optimized for fixed applications such as point of sale, digital catalogues, digital signage, self-service kiosks and interactive guided selling solutions. They deliver digital signage content, automate product discovery and facilitate suggestive selling to enhance the customer experience and improve customer engagement.

"The Linq tablets are designed to provide an optimal all-in-one device to meet the market's increasing demand for commercial-grade, reliable and versatile in-store tablets to elevate the customer experience," Manish Kumar, managing director Apac of Stratacache, said in the release.

With its global headquarters in Philadelphia, Scala has 28 offices worldwide. Its network of partners and developers drive over 3.1 million digital screens globally.
