Samsung is marking the upcoming Teacher's Appreciation Week (May 6-10) with the launch of the Interactive Display (model: WAD) for education, according to a press release.

Samsung's first Google Enterprise Devices Licensing Agreement (EDLA)-certified model, the classroom display has built-in support for Google services like Google Classroom and Google Drive, and comes with pre-installed apps like Google Chrome and YouTube, along with downloadable access to apps in the Google Play Store.

The system is powered by Android 13 and is available in 65-, 75-, and 86-inch models.

"My wife teaches fourth grade, and I have seen first-hand how hard our educators work to overcome growing challenges as they guide the minds of tomorrow," David Phelps, head of the display division, Samsung Electronics America, said in the release. "Educators are facing rising expectations from parents, increasing class sizes and declining levels of student engagement. Classroom technologies like our new Interactive Display are designed to empower teachers to build upon their successful teaching practices while unlocking collaborative tools to deepen student connections, engagement and personalized learning."

Additional system features include:

  • Facilitation of natural writing via IR touch technology, with support for up to 40 simultaneous touchpoints.
  • Wireless casting of up to nine simultaneous screens.
  • Bidirectional content casting between the display and connected devices.
  • 3-in-1 USB-C port with 65-Watt charging support.
  • HDMI output.
  • Samsung Device Management Solution (DMS) software for remote display monitoring and control, including the Advanced Messaging feature for emergency alerts.
