Route 66 Motorheads Bar & Grill, located in Springfield, Illinois, is mixing historical nostalgia with the power of digital after unveiling their Watchfire dvLED video wall, installed by local integrator Ace Sign Company, according to a press release.
"No one else in the area has anything like this," Ron Metzger, founder at Motorheads, said in the release. "The video wall is really beautiful and gives us a flexible way to entertain people with events, music videos, games and concerts. It adds to the ambiance at Motorheads and creates even more excitement."
Memorabilia in the restaurant, museum and live music venue include Route 66 signs and beer taps mounted on the rear ends of classic automobiles, along with a ceiling-mounted 1969 Chevrolet Camaro and what is advertised as the world's largest Route 66 logo sign, which was also installed on the property by Ace Sign Company. The video wall adds a flexible, future-forward element to the experience, according to Metzger.
"We have visitors from around the world who come to Motorheads, and they all love the video wall. It's become a real focal point," adds Metzger.
