Road Runner Media Inc., a DOOH media company, has partnered with Baseline Growth Capital for up to $62.5 million in financing. The company will use this to expand its commercial vehicle DOOH advertising network and evolve its Vehicle Operational Indicator technology, according to a press release.
Road Runner provides displays for the back of commercial vehicles that alert drivers when the operator brakes, selects turn signals, reverses or puts on flashers. When the vehicle is in motion, the displays play advertising that can be triggered by time of day, GPS or relevance to vehicles and passengers.
"Road Runner was founded to improve safety and reduce accidents on the roads while at the same time providing brand marketers with a new opportunity to reach and engage target audiences on the go with high impact graphics and messaging," Randall Lanham, founder and chairman, Road Runner Media, said in the release. "With an aligned financing partnership, our technology patented, and several new partnerships in the pipeline, we are eager and excited to continue building our brand and enhancing our presence in major markets across the country."
