Renewed Vision updates multiscreen media server for A/V

September 5, 2018

Renewed Vision has released a new version of its ProVideoPlayer3 multiscreen media server, video processor and screen control solution. The PVP 3.2 centralizes playback functions and offers new synchronization, control and management abilities, according to a press release.

Customers can use PVP 3.2 to synchronize SDI feeds across multiple outputs for live productions. It also integrates network triggering to enable a redundancy layer with backup protection for events.

"Renewed Vision has consistently improved stability with each PVP release, and we have reached a new level in PVP 3.2," Brad Weston, president, Renewed Vision, said in the release. "That said, when the unforeseen should occur, our customers can retain the efficiency of single-machine operation while also achieving redundancy through network triggering that seamlessly triggers backup machines throughout the event."

The update also features the same upgrades from the 3.1 release, including support for DMX512-A lighting control and an integrated HTTP control server.
