Remote Media to showcase Web-based digital signage platforms

ESSEX, England — Garland Partners, Remote Media and Teracue have announced a collaborative partnership that the companies say enhances the digital signage experience.
Garland Partners worked with Remote Media to integrate Teracue's ENC-100/ENC-200 real-time MPEG-2/H.264 encoders. The encoders feed live video or the output from a digital set top box and convert it to an IP stream to be incorporated into Remote Media's "signagelive" scheduling system. This also can be extended to a live TV feed from digital satellite, terrestrial line or cable by using Teracue's DVB-100 videogateway cards and then adding it to an existing playlist.
The "signagelive" platform from Remote Media gives users the ability to create date and time specific playlists of numerous types of digital media content that then can be installed across multiple sites, managed from a standard Internet browser anywhere in the world. There are no capital costs, just a cost per month per connected signagelive device.
