Reflect Systems, a digital signage manufacturer for retail, entertainment venues, health care providers and corporate communications, will receive a patent for its AdLogic platform, according to a company press release.
The patent shows how a computer system can deliver targeted advertising, accounting for variables including changing network conditions and challenges advertisers face.
"AdLogic is the first advertising solution designed specifically for the unique needs of digital out-of-home markets served by digital signage networks," David Kopaniky, who along with Adam Lockhart invented AdLogic, said in the release. "Managing advertising campaigns in these networks that include a variety of other engaging, informative content poses distinct challenges that this platform addresses directly."
Prior to AdLogic, scheduling and delivering advertising was time consuming and error-prone, requiring manual effort, which resulted in inaccurate ad campaign objectives. AdLogic provides a user-friendly platform for scheduling advertising for any digital signage content network, according to the release.
AdLogic's content scheduling and reporting is similar to how advertisers purchase media. The technology also ensures campaign objectives are achieved by rebalancing ad delivery, both on and offline.
"Rebalancing ad plays is a tedious manual process that no one enjoys tackling," Bart Massey, Reflect's chief technology officer said in the release. "However, failing to rebalance can result in significant under delivery, damaging relationships with advertisers, or over delivery —which reduces available inventory and revenue for media owners. AdLogic removes this risk completely, giving users confidence that their content is being delivered effectively."
AdLogic also integrates with Reflect's digital signage platform, ReflectView.
