Real Digital Media introduces NEOCAST Media Player GS

December 16, 2007

SARASOTA, FL — Real Digital Media has announced the release of NEOCAST Media Player GS, from the NEOCAST family of digital signage products. The new product will complement the functions offered by the NEOCAST Media Player Z.

A significant development with this product release is the modular design of the NEOCAST Media Player GS firmware. This design allows the firmware to port to other Windows-based hardware platforms, allowing these devices to become NEOCAST-ready and available as part of a digital signage network operated by the RDM's NEOCAST Media Server.

"NEOCAST Media Player GS represents Real Digital Media's continued efforts to provide network operators with the most stable, flexible and cost effective tools for building digital signage networks," said Michael Baron, President of Real Digital Media. "The product combines Real Digital Media's software technologies, as well as the Microsoft Windows XP Embedded operating system into a plug-and-play appliance that's compact, reliable and incredibly feature-rich out of the box."

"The rapidly expanding digital signage market has witnessed the entry of a number of companies from a variety of disciplines seeking to make their products more competitive," said Ken Goldberg, CEO of Real Digital Media. "The portability of our media player firmware offers these companies an option to add digital signage features to their product portfolio and inherit all of the capabilities we've advanced in the market."
