PureLink launches IP video network switches

PureLink has launched its VIP-NET series of network switches for IP over video. The solution is built to simplify the management of IP Video matrix switching systems, according to a press release.

This series offers a variety of features including:

  • Available in 1G and 10G models;
  • Ability to integrate with PureStream VIP-100/200 encoder/decoder modules to offer HD and UHD A/V over IP;
  • Supports "multicast packets between VLANS and multicast load balancing among member interfaces of a trunk," according to the release; and
  • Has 10G slots to support sub-cards.

Users can also connect multiple switches to create larger matrices of video outputs and inputs, according to the release.
