PureLink launches HDMI streaming encoder

PureLink has introduced its PureStream VIP-STREAM-100 encoding device for HD video and audio distribution over IP networks. The device delivers 1080p content at 60 Hertz, according to a press release.

It uses the H.264 video compression standard for streaming content, and it can extend signals up to 330 feet from a network switch. The VIP-STREAM-100 can also connect directly to PCs, cameras and set-top boxes for streaming live video feeds from sources such as Youtube or Facebook Live, according to the release.
