PSCo, U-Touch create interactive 103-inch plasma screen

READING, England — PSCo is collaborating with U-Touch, specialists in the design and build of interactive touchscreen overlays for plasma and large-format LCD TFT displays, to manufacture an infra-red bezel for the Panasonic 103-inch plasma screen. The unique U-Touch overlay will make it an interactive experience for users, ideal for use in a range of applications from board rooms, broadcast, schools and corporate areas to product launches, events, public information displays and retail environments.

The custom-made frame will be retro-fitted over the 103-inch plasma panel, to create an incredibly accurate touchscreen display. The touchscreen, which exactly matches the look and feel of the original display, making it virtually invisible, will sit flush to the anti-reflective, anti-glare Panasonic glass panel, allowing the screen to retain immaculate picture quality for the most demanding public areas.

"They are experts in the distribution of the 103-inch plasma screen and they specialize in a concentrated amount of high quality products, which means they fully understand touchscreen technology and its place in the market."

The screen will offer high resolution interactive plasma on a massive scale. With high brightness and contrast the screens are ideal for high ambient light environments, unlike its projection counterparts, without the problem of shadows caused by presenters.

Alongside this investment, PSCo has also invested heavily in U-Touch overlays for both their 42-inch and 50-inch Panasonic plasma screens in their rental fleet.
