PPDS, the global provider of Philips Professional Displays, has delivered transformational communication and engagement capabilities to the Putnam County School System's central offices.
The project for the Cooksville, Tennessee-based school system includes digital signage hardware and software, according to a press release, and replaced an aging digital signage system.
The district wanted to be able to display everything from event schedules and meeting agendas to presentation materials and live feeds for virtual attendees at meetings.
The school system teamed up with Howard Technology Solutions, which provides AV solutions and integrations in education, to deploy a selection of 10 x Philips Signage 3000 Series (Q-Line) displays. The displays ranged from 55-inch through to 98-inch.
"With Philips Professional Displays we have enabled a seamless experience where anyone can enter our meeting room and, within just a few minutes, have their presentation ready to go. The straightforward accessibility and user friendliness of the control system not only saves time but also allows individuals to lead meetings confidently, even if they lack prior experience," Corby King, director of schools at Putnam County School System, said in the release.
With a professional Android SoC built in, the Philips Signage 3000 Series delivers fully secure remote management options to the PCSS team, adopting PPDS's evolutionary Philips Wave cloud platform.
"The new Philips digital signage solution has truly transformed our ability to communicate. Not only have we enhanced the presentation of information, we have also made our meetings more engaging and effective for all, whether in person or virtual," Sam Brooks, future ready supervisor, Putnam County School System, said in the release.
The Philips Wave platform allows Putnam County staff to easily update content remotely at any time, ensuring all displays showcase up-to-date, relevant, and consistent information.
"With the implementation of Philips digital signage, the Putnam County School System has not only improved communication within its district, it has also set a new standard for how educational offices can leverage technology to engage staff, students, and external partners more effectively. This transformation showcases how the right tools can dramatically enhance an organization's ability to communicate, collaborate, and innovate," Patrick VanTreese, director of business development, PPDS, said in the release.
Since deployment school staff have seen increased levels of engagement during meetings and events.
"The flexibility and user friendliness of the Philips Wave platform has made it incredibly easy to manage our digital signage content, giving us complete control over the displays and creating dynamic content that better engages both in-person and virtual participants," Johnny Sloan, technology supervisor, Putnam County School System, said in the release.
