Plazamedia GmbH, a Germany-based entertainment company, has installed an Alfalite LED wall in Munich's AGROB Medienpark studio for hybrid AR broadcasting of games from the FIFA World Cup in Qatar on Germany's T-Mobile Magenta TV, according to a press release.
The 132-square-meter LED wall is an Alfalite Modularpix Pro VP XR 1.9 ORIM curved screen and leveragys Mo-Sys camera tracking and multi-camera technology.
The ORIM line uses Optical Resin Injection Module technology to achieve 1.9mm pixel pitch and 175-degree viewing angles, along with a UL94 durability rating for impact, liquid, chemicals and fire.
The technology also allows low EM interference and low energy usage.
The Mo-Sys Mixed Reality System (bMR) and Startracker camera tracking system will facilitate augmented reality broadcasting for virtual viewers.
Based in Spain, Alfalite is currently the sole Europe-based LED manufacturer.
