Planar intros FX Series of LED video wall displays

Planar has announced its FX Series of fine pixel pitch LED video wall displays. These displays support up to 3,500 nits indoors and 4,000 nits outdoors, according to a press release.

The outdoor display models comes in 1.5-, 1.9-, 2.6-, 2.8- and 3.9-millimeter pixel pitches and 1.5-, .9- and 2.6-millimeter for indoor models.

The displays include LED treatments to protect from ultraviolet rays, dust, water and casual contact. They can also dynamically adjust brightness depending on the time of day.

"As customer demand and confidence in LED video walls has grown, our customers have naturally envisioned use cases requiring close viewing in bright, sunlit public environments," Steve Seminario, vice president of product development at Planar, said in the release. "We are excited to now offer a product line uniquely suited to those applications, both indoors and outdoors."
