Planar announces Luminate Ultra Series outdoor video walls

Planar has released the Planar Luminate Ultra Series, an LED video wall line optimized for outdoor use, including in direct sunlight, according to a press release.
The video wall accommodates close viewing, up to six feet, and it incorporates coated LEDs while featuring wider viewing angles than previous series at nearly 140 degrees of visibility, according to the release. Brightness goes up to 3,300 nits, and models offer either 1.5 or 1.9 mm pixel pitch, and models have been designed with weatherproofing, earning an IP65 Ingress Protection Rating.
"We have seen strong demand for high pixel-density LED displays designed to perform in sunlight and outdoor conditions," Steve Seminario, vice president of product marketing at Planar, said in the release. "Planar Luminate Ultra Series brings together fine pitch, high brightness and a coating technology that protects while delivering beautiful outdoor viewing. It's a unique combination we are excited to bring to customers."
