Philips Signage Solutions, operated by Envision Peripherals Inc., has announced what it’s calling an "ultra-cost effective" 65-inch display, the BDL6520QL, for the commercial digital signage, corporate conference room and education markets.

According to the announcement, the display is aimed at making it so "project owners with limited budgets no longer need to struggle between cost and quality." The BDL6520QL is ready for customer purchasing in North America and, in addition to the consumer class pricing, it is aligned with Philips Signage Solutions by offering Philips' "Smart Collection" features including real-time content playback from a URL, auto-recovery failover to a local USB thumb drive, seven-event daypart scheduling, etc.

The BDL6520QL display is adding to Philips' existing most popular QL line and is backed by a three-year advanced exchange warranty.

"We've been seeing large-format displays demand grows rapidly in [the] corporate conference room and lobby segment[s], besides the education segment," said Glen Young, senior product marketing manager for the Philips Signage Solutions division. "The BDL6520QL is the perfect solution to not only fulfill these market segments' needs, but also meet the budget control for these market segments. Customers don't have to sacrifice the 70-inch-range large-format displays in consumer display quality due to the budget constraints."

Along with newly introduced BDL8470EU and BDL9870EU UHD 4K displays, the BDL6520QL is intended to enrich Philips' cost-effective commercial display lines, the company said.
