Peerless intros 'world's thinnest' full-service, ADA-compliant wall mount for digital signage

A/V mounting designer, manufacturer and distributor Peerless-AV today announced what it's billing as "the world’s thinnest full-service video wall mount" — the ADA-compliant DS-VW755S SmartMount Slim Video Wall Mount.

Measuring 1.87 inches, the SmartMount DS-VW755S was designed specifically to complement ultra-thin displays, providing the option to install a video wall system that protrudes no further than 4 inches from the wall, making the solution ADA compliant, the company said.

The made-in-the-U.S.A. mount also offers installers ease of service with the ability to seamlessly align displays, according to Peerless. The mount offers tool-less micro adjustments at eight points and reusable display-dedicated wall plate spacers.

It also is equipped with a quick-release function that allows installers easy access to displays in recessed applications that would otherwise be restricted. With the DS-VW755S, the display also be extended into a negative tilt position for ease of cabling, the company said.

The mount's universal design and 20-inch-by-20-inch footprint also allows for the mount to be used for both portrait and landscape applications.

"This innovative addition to our award-winning patented video wall mount design builds on the success of our existing range, offering users the features they know and love about Peerless-AV mounts, such as a quick setup and tool-less micro-adjustments," said Brian McClimans, vice president, global business development, Peerless-AV, in the announcement. "We are especially thrilled to introduce the SmartMount DS-VW755S as it offers features that installers, system integrators, customers and dealers are looking for, but are nearly impossible to currently find on the market, including the ability to be used in both portrait and landscape applications, negative tilt capabilities and a profile measuring only 1.87 inches."

The SmartMount DS-VW755S will be available in June through Peerless-AV direct sales representatives and the company's authorized distribution network. And it also will be showcased at June's InfoComm 2014 in Las Vegas.
