Peerless-AV intros Video Wall Mount Locator app

The new app is designed to support Peerless-AV's line of SmartMount full-service video wall mounts by helping integrators determine the best location to place display mounts to create a seamless video wall, the company said.

AV mounting solutions provider Peerless-AV has launched its new Peerless-AV Video Wall Mount Locator app. The new app is designed to support Peerless-AV's line of SmartMount full-service video wall mounts by helping integrators determine the best location to place display mounts to create a seamless video wall, the company said.

The Video Wall Mount Locator app is intended to minimize the need for large construction crews and decrease installation costs. To get started, the user manually inputs the display orientation, the dimensions of the display and the distance from the floor and wall, and the app calculates the ideal location to begin installation.

To ease installation, Peerless-AV's line of SmartMount mounts have been upgraded to feature a top center keyhole slot to help plot out and hang the video wall mounts.

"Thanks to our new Video Wall Mount Locator app, creating video walls with our award-winning video wall mounts has gotten even easier," said Brian McClimans, vice president of global business development for Peerless-AV, in the company announcement. "Our app turns a video wall installation project into a predominately one-person job that can be completed quickly and correctly at the touch of a finger."

The Peerless-AV Video Wall Mount Locator app is currently available in the U.S. for free via the iTunes store and Google play store, and for mobile Web broswers on the Peerless website.
