Papercast to serve as technology partner for America's Cup Challenge

Ineos Team UK, the company which brought the yacht race America's Cup Challenge to the U.K., recently partnered with Papercast, an e-paper information display system provider, for the event in Auckland in 2021. Papercast will provide its solar powered wireless displays for the cockpits of the AC75 boats, according to a press release.

The e-paper displays offer low energy consumption with a light weight IP-rated enclosure. Ineos selected these displays due to their high visibility even inside of an AC75 cockpit in bright conditions.

"It's impossible to sail these incredibly advanced and sophisticated boats without data, and getting that data in a fast, highly-readable format in the extreme environment of an AC75 cockpit is a real challenge. We're very happy to have Papercast onboard to take that challenge on," Ben Ainslie, team principal and skipper of Ineos Team UK, said in the release.
