Panasonic intros new LCDs to Europe

Panasonic Systems Communications Company Europe announced today the launch of two LCD displays in 70 and 80-inch sizes. New entrants to Panasonic's large format display family, Panasonic said the TH-70LF50 and TH-80LF50 are the world's thinnest displays over 70 inches, with a depth of only 89 millimeters.

The new lightweight LCDs are equipped for ceiling suspension in a broad range of public spaces, and are aimed at a variety of digital signage applications including sporting events, museums and shopping centers. The displays deliver a high contrast ratio (5,000:1) and brightness (700cd/m2), intended to ensure visibility regardless of viewing angle.

Each display comes equipped with highly durable panels, which allow continuous 24/7 operation, and includes an energy efficient LED backlight that reduces the overall power consumption.

Both TH-70LF50 and TH-80LF50 models will be available across Europe later in the year.
