Outfront Media Inc., an OOH advertising provider, has hired Neil Shapiro, as VP, head of programmatic, leading the company's Programmatic Business and Sales Strategy division, according to a company press release.
"I'm excited to join the team at Outfront," Shapiro said in the release. "Programmatic out of home continues its growth trajectory and I look forward to maximizing the opportunity for brands to access OUTFRONT's premium inventory across the country through their platform of choice."
Shapiro previously served as SVP of east and central region sales for Captive, leading the company's digital transition into programmatic sales. He also worked for Shazam, Flixster, The Huffington Post and AOL, according to the release. At Outfront, Shapiro will lead the strategy and implementation of impression-based selling across the U.S.
"We are thrilled to add Neil to our team," Marc Miller, SVP, national sales at Outfront, said in the release. "Having someone of his caliber work with our external partners and lead our programmatic approach will greatly enhance our expertise in this very important growth area. We are consistently adding platforms — both programmatic and ad servers — and Neil's leadership is going to be very important in the OOH marketplace."
Programmatic software creates real-time buying options for clients and they can use it to target specific markets.
