Redbox, Coinstar parent and MLS's Seattle Sounders are joining together to support the Fisher House Foundation in honor of Veteran’s Day.

November 7, 2014

Redbox and Coinstar parent company Outerwall Inc. and Major League Soccer club Seattle Sounders FC are joining together to support the Fisher House Foundation in honor of Veteran's Day. For every goal scored by Sounders FC against FC Dallas at the MLS Western Conference Semifinals at Seattle's CenturyLink Field, $1,500 will be donated to veteran's families advocate Fisher House to support military families in the Seattle area. Fisher House provides free supportive housing to families of service members receiving treatment. The organizations will continue to donate to Fisher House throughout the season when goals are scored at home.

Monday's game will see veterans honored through LED digital signage at the stadium sponsored by Outerwall with a message saying, "Outerwall thanks veterans for creating a better everyday. We're inspired by you."

"For 25 years, Fisher Houses have provided 'a home away from home' for military and veterans' families dealing with injury or illness," said Dave Coker, president of Fisher House Foundation. "But even after the homes are built, there is a constant need to support these families in many other ways. This effort will truly help to meet those needs and Fisher House is very appreciative."

Fisher House is a grantee of Outerwall’s Community Connection program, which funded the company more than $15,000 this year.
