Outdoor wayfinding kiosks go live in Manchester, UK

November 4, 2013

Visitors to Manchester, England, are now able to browse information on local events, restaurants and shopping destinations via a fleet of interactive outdoor kiosks.

According to an article on mancunianmatters.co.uk, each of the 10 MiGuides deployed around the city feature three interactive screens that provide users with the range of content. The Manchester City Council will fund the kiosks through advertising.

"They [MiGuides] will provide the latest information to the thousands of people that pass through some of Manchester's busiest locations," Paul Simpson, managing director of Visit Manchester, said in the article. "We want to ensure that the majority of visitors to the city center are equipped with the tools to make the very best of their time here. The screens will keep tourists and locals alike up-to-date and in the know about Manchester's exhibitions, attractions, transport, restaurants, shops and nightlife."
