OptConnect appoints chief product officer

OptConnect, a wireless connectivity space provider for kiosks, internet of things, digital signage and micro markets, has hired Steve Garrett s chief product officer. He was previously the director of sales engineering for the company, according to a press release.

Prior to joining OptConect, Garret served as CIO at Navigator Communications, as well as other CIO positions in healthcare and telecommunications.

"I'm excited to assume the role of OptConnect's chief product officer as we bring fundamentally new solutions to the market," Garrett, said in the release. "The introduction of new IoT technologies is accelerating, and it's critical to identify the best ideas and incorporate them into our current and future products and services.
