Rogers K-Rock Centre in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, will update its facility with a new centerhung video display system designed and manufactured by Daktronics of Brookings, South Dakota, according to an announcement from the LED sign manufacturer.
The new video display is intended to add entertainment value to the events held at the Rogers K-Rock Centre, the announcement said.
"Daktronics delivered on everything we required throughout our process — competitive pricing, manufacturing a state-of-the-art system, reliable project management, system knowledge and training, and overall professionalism," Rogers K-Rock Centre GM Lynn Carlotto said in the announcement.
The main centerhung board will include four video displays each measuring more than 6 feet high by 10 feet wide and featuring 6-millimeter line spacing. These displays will be able to feature one large image to highlight live video and can be divided into separate windows to show a variety of graphics, animations, up-to-the-minute statistics and scoring information, as well as sponsor advertisements.
In addition to the equipment installation, Rogers K-Rock Centre will also receive a bank of hours for the creation of digital content to be produced and delivered by Daktronics Creative Services. This content will consist of any mixture of sponsorship messages, crowd prompts, headshots, game opens and venue announcements at the request of the facility.
