Digital signage network solutions provider ONELAN has announced that Wales' Merthyr Tydfil College has deployed a new digital signage system to provide information college wide using ONELAN.
Two ONELAN Net-Top-Box (NTB) 5500s are used to publish content to the company's Century NTBs located across the college campus, driving content to 46-inch Samsung screens, and a 32-inch LG screen. Signage is situated on each of the four floors of the college. An additional NTB 5500 is connected to a 40-inch LG screen in the school's library. In the main reception area there also is a 50-inch screen.
ONELAN's power-saving techniques enable the system to be scheduled to shut down and reboot, which benefits Merthyr Tydfil's sustainability policy. It also reduces the printing of posters and leaflets, saving on printing and paper costs, the company said.
"We are delighted with our ONELAN signage system," Gareth Morgan of the Merthyr Tydfil IT department said in the announcement. "It provides flexibility, creativity and professional output every time."
