OfficeMax expands in-store digital signage network

May 25, 2006

TORONTO — Adflow Networks announced that OfficeMax, a national leader in office products and services, is expanding its in-store digital signage network to include both new and renovated mid-sized retail store locations. OfficeMax retained Adflow Networks as its digital signage provider in 2005 to establish a digital signage network in large-format OfficeMax Advantage stores across the United States. The success of this initial deployment has prompted OfficeMax to extend the network to include mid-sized stores as well.

"OfficeMax has introduced an innovative retail store format based on extensive customer research that showed a strong desire for more modern design and greater ease in shopping functionality. We asked Adflow Networks to provide their expertise in deploying retail digital signage as part of this new store design," said Jim Dismukes, vice president of Visual Merchandising for OfficeMax. "Adflow understood our marketing goals and delivered a system that brings new excitement and interest to our customer experience, while also giving us new ways to communicate to our in-store audience."

Messages are delivered using two high-resolution 40-inch LCD displays mounted within an eye-catching menu board, located in the high-traffic printing services area of each store. The OfficeMax digital signage network also features a live CNN-TV satellite feed and directional sound technology to inform and entertain customers without disrupting their shopping.
