The Tin Building in New York has teamed with ANC, an experiential media company, and GLAAM, a glass materials manufacturer, for the installation of construction-grade LED glass for programmatic content in what developers claim to be the largest such installation in the United States, according to a press release, which also credited architect firm Roman and Williams along with construction management firm Plaza Construction. The project also includes a transparent OLED video wall.

The New York landmark, originally created by the Howard Hughes Corporation, has installed more than 1,100 square feet of GLAAM Media Glass around escalators, providing programmatic content integrated and controlled by ANC's LiveSync CMS, which synchronizes the installation with other displays throughout the Pier 17 area. The Media Glass is rated for an estimated 100,000 hours of use at full brightness and features weatherproofing.

"The interest we're receiving from our clients in the sports, entertainment, transit and development worlds signals a huge demand for these new media technologies," George Linardos, CEO at ANC, said in the release. "As physical and digital worlds continue to fuse, and expectations rise for real world experiences to surprise and delight, we're proud to be at the forefront of bringing places to life in new and magical ways through our partnership program with the most innovative technologies in the market."
