Noventri to plant a tree for each new Eco-Series digtial signage player sold
August 9, 2010
Noventri recently announced that it has agreed to plant a tree for each of its new environmentally-friendly Eco-Series SF-100e digital signage players purchased.
The announcement is part of the release of the new player, which Noventri says represents green, eco-friendly technology. The company says it has already completed replanting trees in the John M. Bethea State Forest in Sanderson, Fla., after some recent purchases.
The 37,736-acre John M. Bethea State Forest establishes a continuous wildlife corridor between Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge and the Osceola National Forest, and it recently suffered catastrophic wildfires that impacted more than 80 percent of its trees. Reforestation efforts were recently completed through The Florida Division of Forestry and the Arbor Day Foundation with 571,000 slash and long leaf pine seedlings planted on 840 acres of land. Noventri donations went directly toward the reforestation of this forest.
"Noventri is proud to have had a part in the preservation of this essential land," Noventri vice president Andrew Hoffman said. "We want to thank our clients, since it was their purchases that allowed for our donations to find their way into this … forest."
Noventri says it realized the need for technology to be eco-friendly and green early on and has strived to maintain that stance with its recent release of an eco-friendly digital signage player.
The Eco-Series SF-100e digital signage player uses less than four watts and saves fossil fuel since it is manufactured within the United States where it is sold nationally, Noventri says. Planting a tree for each purchased player only makes it more eco-friendly, the company says.
