July 28, 2010
NexGen DS recently announced that the company had changed its name to Media Sign Pro, as well as released a major software upgrade, Media Sign Pro version 3.1.
The company says Media Sign Pro simplifies the creation of dynamic digital signage. Running on Apple Inc.'s Mac OS X, this digital signage software provides easy-to-use tools to design true WYSIWYG digital signage content. The software is an all-in-one solution providing everything needed to create high-quality messaging including a creator, scheduler and player.
"Media Sign Pro was developed to be powerful and all-inclusive with the end-user in mind," said Chris Lee, president and cofounder of Media Sign Pro.
With the new software release, Media Sign Pro says it is introducing a major advantage in a SaaS-centric market. Media Sign Pro has a "lifetime license," meaning the user will own the application for its entire lifetime. This software model will allow businesses in various markets to launch and maintain their digital signage solution for years to come with a low one-time investment.
Media Sign Pro provides advanced digital signage capabilities in an all-in-one solution, allowing the user to create, schedule, and play their digital sign from one source. An intuitive free-floating zone interface allows for easy content creation and gives users real-time live previews without any time-consuming rendering. Real-time integrated Internet content will allow users to display news, weather information, sports scores and more without any additional monthly service or hosting fees. Also, the application runs on the world's most energy efficient computer, the Mac mini, making Media Sign Pro one of the premier Mac-based digital signage solutions in the world, the company says.
Media Sign Pro says it also is introducing a partner program for value added resellers and system integrators who sell and promote digital signage software.
