New Gefen distribution amplifier splits HD signal onto 10 displays

CHATSWORTH, CA — A new rack mountable distribution amplifier from Gefen splits the HDMI audio/video signal and sends it to ten displays, each supporting high-definition video to 1080p.

The Gefen 1:10 Distribution Amplifier's ten outputs may be used in part or in full, connecting a total of ten HDMI displays. One 24v power supply drives the system, ensuring the simultaneous delivery of high-definition visuals and digital audio with no delay, providing a pure visual performance unimpeded by distortion.

The amplifier works with all HDMI sources, including games, satellite television systems and HD DVD players. When combined with a Gefen HDMI to DVI Audio Adapter, the 1:10 HDMI distribution Amplifier will support DVI displays, delivering both high definition video in DVI format with separate digital audio in TOSlink format.
