New fanless PC supports Intel Core 2 Duo processor

July 6, 2008

TAIWAN, Republic of China — Acrosser Technology announced the release of its new fanless Core 2 Duo embedded computer, the AR-ES5430FL series. The company said it is the world's first fanless embedded system to support the Intel embedded Core 2 Duo processor T7400.

The ARES is built with a seamless aluminum chassis, allowing dissipation of heat from inside. Because of the high-efficiency thermal module, ARES does not have to use expensive ultra-low-power processors to achieve the same level of performance.   The ARES includes three kinds of video output (VGA/DVI/LVDS), two 10/100 Ethernet ports, two USB 2.0 ports, four COM ports and one PS/2 connector. In addition to the standard DC 12V power input, the ARES also will provide an optional 9V DC to 32V DC input power converter to fulfill power requirements for vehicle applications.
