NEC nabs readers digital signage award at InfoComm12

June 26, 2012

Commercial LCD display and projector solutions provider NEC Display Solutions of America recently announced that its 46-inch, high-bright X462HB display was picked as "as the Most Innovative Digital Signage Product" by the readers of Systems Contractor News at this year's InfoComm professional audio-visual and digital signage show, held in Las Vegas earlier this month.

The X462HB is a professional-grade, large-screen display designed for the rigors of 24/7 operation in a variety of applications, including outdoor digital signage, drive-thru menu boards and video walls in heavily lighted areas, the company said.

The display utilizes a quarter-lambda polarizing film, which allows for outdoor viewing with polarized sunglasses in both landscape and portrait orientations. Its full high-definition panel displays brilliant colors and content in the most extreme lighting circumstances, allowing, for instance, quick-service restaurants to enable their customers to read drive-thru menus on the brightest days.

"Systems Contractor News' readers have bestowed a great honor on our company and on the X462HB display," said Keith Yanke, director of product marketing for large-screen displays and projectors at NEC Display Solutions. "As the experts in our industry, they have access to the best products for the most demanding challenges in their work. Acknowledging the X462HB display as the most innovative speaks to a core value of NEC Display Solutions."
