NEC launches 24-inch monitor with smaller bezels

NEC Display Solutions of America has launched the MultiSync EX241UN 24-inch display. The display has a bezel of 0.8 millimeters on four sides, according to a press release.

The display can rotate images 180 degrees to allow two monitors to be tiled vertically. The display also has 5.38 millimeter inactive areas between matching sides.

The display also features:  

  • AH-IPS panel technology and LED backlighting;
  • 1920x1080 resolution at 60Hz;
  • 16:9 native aspect ratio;
  • five-direction menu control on display's back;
  • VGA, DVI-D, DisplayPort 1.2, three-port USB Hub 3.0;
  • 8-bit color;
  • 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio;
  • stand with quick-release mechanism;
  • integrated speakers and headphone jack; and
  • ControlSync technology to control six displays simultaneously.

"The new EX241UN slim design demonstrates NEC's commitment to push the boundaries of desktop display technologies," Kevin Christopherson, director of product marketing for desktop displays at NEC Display Solutions, said in the release. "Its image quality and features offer new configurations for users across multiple industries."

The display comes with a 3-year limited parts and labor warranty and is available starting at $379. Users can also purchase the SpectraView EA Kit, which comes with SpectraView software and a Datacolor Spyder5 calibration sensor and the display itself, starting at $529.
