NEC, DST LED-backlighting webinar available for viewing

The NEC Display Solutions and Digital Signage Today webinar "The Emergence of LED Backlighting for Large-format Displays" can be viewed on DigitalSignageToday.com.

The webinar took a look at the years-long development toward the migration to LED backlighting for large-format displays.

Starting with the emergence of the technology in TVs and tracing its migration to professional-grade displays used for digital signage, this webinar looked at the evolution of the adoption of LED backlight technology, just as the market for the technology has gotten ready to erupt.

The webinar examined several key issues surrounding LED backlighting, including the differences between edge-lit and direct-lit LED technologies; the features and benefits of each technology; and new applications and usage occasions.
