Commercial LCD display and projector solutions provider NEC Display Solutions of America today announced seven new M Series portable projectors ranging from 2,800 to 4,000 lumens in brightness, including a new 1080p model, for the education and business markets.
The M283X (2,800 lumens, XGA resolution); M323X (3,200 lumens, XGA); M323W (3,200 lumens, WXGA); M363X (3,600 lumens, XGA); M363W (3,600 lumens, WXGA); M403X (4,000 lumens, XGA); and M403H (4,000 lumens, 1080p) come with PC-based cornerstone correction to align images with their screens. With 1.7x zoom lenses and color-coded input panels, the projectors are designed to offer installation flexibility and easy setup, NEC said. Auto-sensing technology also delivers quick communications to the projectors’ sources.
“NEC Display is committed to making it easy to use its solutions so that professionals can focus on delivering great presentations and imparting knowledge,” said Bob Guentner, senior product manager of projectors at NEC Display. “The M Series projectors deliver on those promises with their many advantages, including networking and data transfer capabilities.”
According to the announcement, the company's software lets users network their projectors for easier management and control. The Image Express Lite Utility function allows up to 16 devices to be wirelessly connected to each projector concurrently. Thumbnail images give presenters easy visibility to each participating device so they can readily toggle between sources, the company said.
The projectors also are compatible with NEC DisplayNote Software, an app that lets leaders and participants present, share and annotate content from any platform or device so their notes are automatically saved.
Among the other benefits of each M Series projector:
According to the announcement, the M283X ($599), M323X ($679), M363X ($769), M363W ($949), and M403X ($959) projectors (at their minimum advertised prices) will be available in September 2015 – with the M323W ($799) and M403H ($1,849) models available in late August. Each ships with a two-year limited parts and labor warranty.
