NEC Display launches 10,000 lumen projector

NEC Display Solutions of America has launched the NP-PX1004UL, a single-chip, digital-light-processing projector. The projector is designed to offer 10,000 lumens to offer high image quality, according to a press release.

The projector is designed with a new UST lens with a 0.38:1 throw ratio. It also comes with the following features:

  • Ports for HDMI, VGA, HDBaseT and DisplayPort with HDCP inputs;
  • 1,920 x 1,200 resolution;
  • Ability to project uncompressed HD videos;
  • Geometric correction to provide correct image projection regardless of the projector's position;
  • Low power consumption;
  • Stacking correction and edge blending to enable larger images using multiple projectors; and
  • Integration with several software solutions such as DisplayNote, Crestron Roomview, AMX Beacon and PJ Link.

"The laser projector's light source and sealed optical engine give users 20,000 hours of near maintenance-free performance," Richard McPherson, senior product manager of projectors at NEC Display, said in the release. "The state-of-the-art NP-PX1004UL projection system produces highly readable content. Customers no longer have to wonder whether their audiences can see all the information on screen."

The NP-PX1004UL is available now starting at $19,899.
