NanoLumens powers up football viewing with displays

August 29, 2016

NanoLumens, a display company, teamed up with Las Vegas-based Station Casino to upgrade its Santa Fe Station sports book with new displays. This is NanoLumens third installment with Station Casino as part of an effort to upgrade customer’s football viewing, according to a press release.

NanonLumens previously installed its NanoSlim Engage solutions at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas and Green Valley Ranch Resort in Henderson, Nevada. NanoLumens deployed five 2.5-millimeter NanoSlim Engage displays for the Santa Fe Station's Race & Sports Book. The company worked with National Technologies Solutions to replace the older projectors in the book with the displays.

Each display is designed to be brighter than the older projectors to give a better viewing experience. The displays currently run at 30 percent brightness and are designed to conserve energy, according to Dave Merlino, area director west, NanoLumens.

"Every NanoLumens display is custom made for its location, so the display size differs slightly at each venue," Merlino said in the release. "The NanoSlim Engage size was determined by the projection system's preexisting spaces. Additionally, all three locations have different physical structures, so we had to determine how to safely mount the displays at each location."

The company also recently opened a visualization center in Las Vegas to serve its customers in the West.

"If any issues do arise at any of the Race and Sports Books, our Las Vegas team can drive over and take care of it immediately," Merlino said.
