Multitouch tech spreading to new devices, signs

All Things Digital: Multitouch is emerging as a new user interface for computers, cell phones, kiosks and digital signs with the best known-examples being the Apple iPhone and Microsoft Surface devices. It's too early to know if the new multitouch approach will ever be as big as the mouse-driven graphical user interface, says Walt Mossberg of the Wall Street Journal. But it's already evident that it offers real advantages on devices where a mouse isn't possible or convenient to use.
