MultiDyne intros fiber transport solutions for video streaming

MultiDyne Fiber Optic Solutions has announced its OG-4600 and FiberSaver FS-12G solutions for video streaming. The OG-4600 series itself comes with five openGear cards, which can each support up to four 12G video streams over fiber, according to a press release.

"The OG-4600 Series elevates our openGear value proposition through accommodation up to four 12G channels. This provides plenty of headroom for HD and 4K, and even supports 8K video transport in a quad-link configuration with maximum signal integrity," Jesse Foster, director of product development and western regions sales, MultiDyne, said in the release. "The key differentiating factor of the series is its broad application array. Rather than simply transport 12G, we are providing a full-featured camera-to-studio link that provides Ethernet service for teleprompters, audio for intercom, and any other application pertinent to live production."

The FS-12G Series of bi-directional fiber multiplexers and wavelength re-mappers helps engineers send and receiver more optical signals without having to rely on a lot of fibers. The series comes in portable and IRU versions which can handle 12 and 26 optical signals respectively.
