Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport has announced the addition of four LG DVLED screens as part of a digital renovation project that aims to modernize the airport experience for passengers, according to a press release.

The DVLED screens were sourced from Bluum Technology and are located at the North and South Exit escalators and are planned to include advertising and information for travelers. Each installation features a 2.9mm pixel pitch DVLED main screen stationed above a smaller 2.5mm pixel pitch ticker-type screen.

"Airports are trending toward DVLED displays to deliver reliable, easy-to-use messaging spaces for advertisers and internal communications, with the ability to present captivating visual content that's impossible with static signage," Heidi Harvey, account executive at Bluum, said in the release. "We look forward to using more LG digital display technologies in additional airport projects."

"Digital displays allow us to maximize the use of overhead space at our exit escalators, which was previously used to hang printed messages," Eduardo Valencia, CIO for Metropolitan Airports Commission, which oversees MSP, said in the release. "We now can schedule and convey important information and offer local businesses a big, bright, bold way to get their messaging in front of visitors."
