MMD, the company behind Philips-branded LCD monitors and public signage solutions, announced in a press release the launch of its new Smart Insert solution at this year's Integrated Systems Europe (ISE).
The Smart Insert is a provision at the back of a display which allows a small-form-factor PC or media device to be inserted discreetly. The Smart Insert was developed by Philips to simplify upgrade service without the need to replace the entire display.
The company also announced availability of the slimmest display in its public signage range of 65-inch widescreen displays, the Philips BDL6551V, which will be showcased this week at Digital Signage Expo (DSE) in Las Vegas. The LCD display is 1.22 inches thick, according to a press release from the company.
MMD is a wholly owned company of TPV, established in 2009 through a brand license agreement with Philips. MMD exclusively markets and sells Philips-branded LCD displays worldwide.
