Minicom unveils long-range player-to-screen distribution system

December 10, 2007

JERUSALEM Minicom Advanced Systems has announced the extended range of its DS Vision 3000 distribution system. The company said that the CATx-based system, which delivers HD video and stereo-audio content from a player to multiple screens, has doubled its scope from 1,000 to 2,000 feet. Minicom said that the advantages of extended reach include more freedom for setup and installation and security for the media player.

"The increased range of the DS Vision 3000 makes it an even more powerful solution to any digital signage solution," said Eran Kessel, vice president of marketing at Minicom. "To be able to send high quality images over this distance and price-performance is something that no one else has been able to achieve."
