January 16, 2008
SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. —MediaTilehas announced that it has received the 2008 North American Digital Signage Technology Leadership Award from Frost & Sullivan in recognition of the company's Digital-Sign-in-a-Box system.
The Digital-Sign-in-a-Box system integrates the three main components of a digital signage network: a commercial-grade display with embedded media player, network connectivity using cellular broadband services and a Web-based broadcast portal for advanced content management.
"The system can be easily deployed and operated by customers and eliminates many of the costs and complexities associated with digital signage broadcast networks," said Yin Fern Ko, a Frost & Sullivan analyst.
The Frost & Sullivan award noted that MediaTile was also recognized for its approach to continuous improvement, acknowledging recent enhancements such as advertisements that automatically update from remote sources, the addition of remotely controlled touchscreen configurations, and support for multiple connectivity options in addition to cellular, including satellite, Wi-Fi and Ethernet.
Each year Frost & Sullivan presents this Award to the company that has pioneered the development and introduction of an innovative technology into the market, a technology that has either impacted or has the potential to impact several market sectors.
