November 18, 2009

The MediaTile Company, provider of cellular digital signage and SaaS-based solutions, today announced that the company has expanded its current round of funding led by GLR Growth Fund LLC, the terms of which are undisclosed. Chris Luck, a founding principal of GLR, has been appointed chairman by the board of directors of MediaTile. The company also announced that Simon Wilson, its CEO, has officially joined the Digital Signage Association as an advisory board member.

"As a longstanding board member of MediaTile, I am very excited about taking on the role of chairman, and continuing to contribute to the overall success of the company," Luck said. "MediaTile's innovative leadership in 3G cellular deployments, combined with its recent joint announcement of the HumanKiosk with Alcatel-Lucent, positions the company to capitalize on the newest generation of cellular digital signage now that 4G communications infrastructure is being deployed. Our solution enhancements enabled by 4G technologies are increasingly attracting strategic and channel partners to MediaTile."

"With the economy turning around, the emergence of a new, high-performance standard in 4G communications and the recognized power of digital signage as an influential communications medium, I believe that 2010 will prove to be an inflection point for the digital signage industry," Wilson said.
