CANOGA PARK, Calif. — MediaSignage Inc. has announced the 1.0 beta release of its free digital signage software solution, powered by Adobe AIR and Adobe Flex. This release adds to the company's current offering of digital signage software as a service (SaaS) and includes over 50 new features and enhancements.
According to news release, MediaSignage has over 1,100 customers using the product. The 1.0 beta release comes one full month ahead of schedule.
This release takes full advantage of the new Flash 10 runtime with enhancements such as hardware acceleration, improved Flex SDK support and bug fixes.
"We truly believe we took both Free Digital Signage and the Flex development environment into a new level," said Sean Levy of MediaSignage. "One of the signage features is a social networking/sharing system within our studio environment of media files, a feature which has yet to be fully realized in the world of digital signage."
Levy said the next release is due in 2Q of 2009 and will include white labeling/branding, reseller support and licensing requirements.
