Matrox, a provider of graphics, imaging and video technology, will showcase several new products during InfoComm 2013. The new lines include video wall controller boards, video distribution over IP solutions, KVM extenders, video streaming and recording appliances, and multiviewers, according to a news release.
The Matrox Mura MPX series output/input video wall controller boards feature universal input channel support for digital and analog (DVI, RGB/VGA, Component, S-Video and Composite) video signals. The devices capture and display uncompressed data for improved text, video and graphics. Mura MPX high-density analog video capture cards provide additional NTSC/PAL/SECAM input channel support, while the Mura MPX-SDI board includes support for two 3G SDI video inputs and two DVI outputs. MuraControl video wall management software allows intuitive management of MPX-powered video walls. Various window and source management features allow users to display, edit and control content. MuraControl is available for Windows and iPad.
Matrox Maevex video distribution over IP solutions enable the extension of full-HD-quality video over standard IP networks for digital signage, collaborative video walls, manufacturing and automation, process control and other applications. Maevex encoders and decoders capture, stream and decode video from various sources and allow for software-based decoding on non-Maevex devices. Maevex units come bundled with PowerStream software, which allows remote management of Maevex devices and enable a variety of user-defined stream-management features, including adjustable low bit-rate encoding.
Matrox Avio F125 fiber-optic KVM extenders separate dual HD video, keyboard, mouse, stereo analog audio and USB 2.0 devices from a workstation. The transmitter/receiver pair extends two single-link DVI (2x1920x1200) or one dual-link DVI (2560x1600 or 4096x2160) video, and multiple high-speed USB 2.0 compliant devices from the host computer by up to 400 meters over multimode cable and 4 kilometers over single-mode cable. The F125 can transmit signals with zero compression and zero latency on a single duplex LC-LC fiber-optic cable.
Matrox Monarch HD is a small video streaming and recording appliance designed for professional video producers who need to simultaneously stream a live event and record a mastering-quality version for post-event editing. It provides the independent delivery channels in an integrated unit. From any HDMI input source such as a camera or switcher, Monarch HD generates an H.264-encoded stream compliant with RTSP or RTMP protocol. While encoding the video at bitrates suitable for live streaming, Monarch HD simultaneously records a high-quality MP4 file to an SD card, a USB drive or a network-mapped drive. The Monarch HD is remotely controlled using any computer or mobile device with a Web browser.
MicroQuad is a four-channel SDI-to-HDMI multiviewer for 3G/HD/SD that allows users to view up to four SDI video signals and show or hide labels and VU meters. Its 10-bit scaling engine and filtering algorithms remove artifacts, and the multiviewer can be controlled from buttons on the unit or from a distance through a Windows-based app.
