Matrox intros multi-monitor controller card to power 4K, 8K video walls

Matrox has launched its QuadHead2Go Q155 multi-monitor control card, which can power four full HD displays from a single HDMI video source. It can capture a single video signal up to 4K and 8K, and push it to four screens at resolutions up to 1920-by-1200 per output, according to a press release.

The solution can help craft a variety of artistic and classic video wall configurations such as two-by-two, four-by-one, one-by-four and more. Customers can pair multiple QuadHead2Go units to add more displays or combine with Matrox's D-Series quad-4K graphics cards to power 64 HD monitors, according to the release.

"Matrox QuadHead2Go Q155 controllers provide system integrators and AV professionals with a simple and innovative approach to build both artistic and rectangular video wall designs," Fadhl Al-Bayaty, business development manager, Matrox, said in the release. "These controller devices—available in both card and appliance formats—can plug and play nicely with any source and platform, providing video wall professionals with a new level of design efficiency."
